Conference talk slides you can present offline (Reveal.js)

Build the talk as a Reveal.js deck and export HTML, PDF, and PPTX on Free with no credit card. The HTML is a file you keep: it presents from your laptop or a USB stick without our servers, so a dead venue Wi-Fi network is an inconvenience rather than the end of your session. AI drafting is optional and lives on Pro and Unlimited — Free is unlimited manual work with no AI. No TEDx logos, no speaker counts, no star ratings on this page.

The job: one room, one shot, bad Wi-Fi

A conference talk is not a document you circulate. It is twenty to forty minutes in a room you do not control, on hardware you did not choose, and the failure modes are specific:

  • The venue network fails. Guest Wi-Fi behind a captive portal, a saturated conference SSID, a basement room with no signal. Anything that has to fetch your deck at showtime is a dependency you cannot test in advance.
  • Organizers want a PPTX, in advance. Shared speaker laptop, a deadline a week before the event, and a form that accepts a file upload. “Here is my share link” is not an answer to that email.
  • You want the talk to outlive the event. A deck in git, versioned across the three conferences you give it at, still openable in two years. Files do that; a hosted URL does it only for as long as somebody keeps paying.
  • A cloud-only share link is a risk you carry alone. If the vendor has an outage, changes plans, or discontinues the product, the deck goes with it. That is not hypothetical — see what happened to Tome.

How conference decks work here

AI Slide Generator is a presentation builder on Reveal.js. We did not invent Reveal.js — we are an editor and exporter on top of it.

  • Free ($0): unlimited manual decks and slides, all templates, export HTML, PDF, and PPTX. No AI. No credit card.
  • The HTML presents offline. Export it, put the bundle on the presenting laptop or a USB stick, open it in a browser. No login at the lectern and no round trip to us. Export before you travel, not in the speaker room.
  • PPTX for the organizer, PDF for everyone else. Same deck, three artifacts. The PPTX is an export for them to load, not a live-editable master — web-only effects do not survive the conversion.
  • The deck stays text you can diff. Keep it in a repo next to the talk notes, reuse it at the next event, see exactly what you changed.
  • AI on paid only: the Alie assistant, AI images, and generation are Pro and Unlimited features. Useful for a first outline of a talk you are going to rewrite anyway; not required to use the product.

Who this is not for

  • Your talk is a link you send people, scrolled more often than presented. A hosted, card-based web deck is the better shape — see Gamma.
  • You rehearse with live multiplayer editing and in-deck comments across a speaker team. We have no real-time co-editing; that is Pitch territory.
  • You want Team seats or SSO from us. We do not sell Team, Enterprise, or SSO.
  • You want free AI to turn an abstract into a finished keynote. Free has no AI.
  • You want automatic on-brand layout to do the design thinking for you — closer to Beautiful.ai.

Compared with link-first slide SaaS

The honest split: they sell a hosted deck and the audience experience around it; we sell files. We do not sell viewer analytics, and we are not going to present that as a missing feature rather than a different product.

FAQ

Does the Free plan include AI?

No. Free is unlimited manual decks, every template, and HTML, PDF, and PPTX export, with no credit card. AI generation — the Alie assistant, AI images, prompt-to-deck — is on Pro and Unlimited only. If you came here looking for a free AI keynote generator, this is not that, and we will not dress it up as free AI generation.

Can I present without an internet connection, and without your servers?

Yes, once the deck is exported. A Reveal.js export is an HTML bundle: open it in the browser on the presenting laptop, from a folder or a USB stick, and it runs with no network and no call back to us. The editor itself is a web app, so build and export while you still have a connection — at the hotel, on the train, the night before — and carry the files into the room. Keep the PDF as a second copy; it opens on anything the AV desk owns.

What do I hand the organizer when they ask for a PPTX?

Export PPTX and send that. Most conferences collect decks in advance for a shared speaker laptop, and a share link is not an acceptable answer to that request. We are not claiming a byte-perfect round trip: the PPTX is an export of your slides for the organizer to load and present, not a live-editable master, and animations and web-only effects will not survive the conversion. Present from the HTML if you want the deck exactly as you built it.

Do you have TEDx, university, or big-tech speaker logos to show me?

No. We do not publish event logos, speaker counts, star ratings, or testimonials, because we do not have verified numbers or permission to use anyone else’s brand. Any page that shows you a wall of conference logos is making a claim it usually cannot support. Judge this on the export formats and the price, both of which are checkable in about a minute.

Do you give me viewer analytics — who opened the deck and how long they looked?

No. We do not sell viewer tracking, per-slide engagement, or lead capture on shared decks, and that is a direct consequence of the offline pitch: a file you present from a USB stick cannot report back, by design. If tracking who read your deck is the point, a hosted link-first tool is the right category and we are not in it.

Do you sell a Team plan or SSO for a speaker team?

No. We do not sell Team seats, Enterprise, or SSO, and there is no shared workspace or live multiplayer rehearsal here. Free and the two paid plans are individual. If several people need to co-edit one talk in real time, we are not the tool for that part of the job.
