Why people look for a Pitch alternative

Pitch is good at the thing Google Slides is also trying to be: several people in one deck, with a modern template library and a share/present flow. That is a real category. People still search “Pitch.com alternative” when:

• They are not a team. Pitch’s paid SKUs are per-seat (Plus / Team / Business). If you are one person who writes talks, you are paying for collaboration furniture you do not sit in.
• The artifact is a workspace object. Pitch can export PPTX. The center of gravity is still their file in their product. Developers and teachers who want a repo of HTML decks notice the difference.

Pitch’s strengths

Multiplayer is real. Guests, teamspaces, shared pitch rooms, and “this deck is the company’s deck” are Pitch’s job. We will not fake a Team plan to look comparable.

Free is generous for small groups. Unlimited decks for up to five people, with a one-time AI credit pool, is a better team free tier than ours. Ours is a better solo editor free tier: HTML export, no AI bait-and-switch, no card.

Templates and brand for orgs. Custom fonts, video uploads, and advanced engagement links on paid seats are coherent for agencies and startups. If design consistency across 15 people is the requirement, Pitch (or Beautiful.ai) is the more honest match.

Pitch is a presentation company, not an AI wrapper. That is a compliment. The workspace will still matter if generation models get boring.

Where we are different

The deck is HTML. Export Reveal.js, put it on a static host, present without our servers.

Price is not a seat. $15 and $39 are product tiers (AI quota / API), not “per editor.” If you are one human, that is simpler. If you are a department, Pitch’s per-seat math is the category you are already in.

Markdown-shaped talks. Outline in text, keep structure close to the file. Pitch is blocks-and-canvas in a workspace.

We are worse at collaboration. If two people must type on slide 4 at once, stay on Pitch.

Who should stay on Pitch

• You run pitch meetings as a team and need guests, versions, and shared templates.
• Free’s 1–5 member workspace is enough and you like their UI.
• You present from Pitch’s player / advanced links and do not want to host HTML.
• You need Business or Enterprise admin (SSO/SCIM live on Enterprise — we do not offer an equivalent).

Ideal Pitch customer: a startup or agency workspace where the deck is a shared object.

Who should try AI Slide Generator

• You are solo or technical and the “workspace” is git.
• You want Reveal.js / markdown / offline HTML.
• You want AI as a draft, 100 gens or unlimited, not as the reason the editor exists.
• You refuse to pay per seat for a tool only you use.
